Puddles on Jl Kemang Utara IX Recede

Puddles as high as 60 centimeters on Jl Kemang Utara IX, RW 04 Bangka Urban Village, Mampang Prapatan, finally receded at 5.30 PM yesterday.

Puddle has receded. The river was back to normal, because it is experiencing shallowing

Formerly, puddle had inundated the street because Mampang River cannot accommodate water after heavy rain hit Jakarta yesterday. Moreover, the street position is low.

Bangka Urban Village Head, Dedih Suhada disclosed that puddle had stagnated when rain was still showering the location. After the rain stopped, it began to recede gradually.

Puddle at Jalan Rasuna Said Recede

In line with normal condition of the river, the street could be bypassed again after waiting one and a half hour. 

"Puddle has receded. The river was back to normal, because it is experiencing shallowing," he told.

He added, long term to cope with puddles when it rains must be conducted for elevating the street about 50 centimeters to 1 meter. According to him, the proposed elevation has been conducted since 2010 ago.

As planned, the elevation will be done on Thursday (7/21), starting from Jl Duren Bangka until in front of Bangka Urban Village office.
