160 Fictitious Tombs Found in West Jakarta

As many as 160 fictitious tombs were found in Public Cemetery (TPU) that spread in West Jakarta. Those are not registered or recorded.

West Jakarta Mayor, Anas Effendi disclosed has instructed related unit to immediately uncover the case of fictitious tomb until complete.

"There is an indication, where there are 160 fictitious tombs in TPU, West Jakarta. Can you imagine there is a tomb but no a body and only installed with a tombstone," he stated, Wednesday (7/27).

Council Wants Tomb to Be Checked Routinely

His side will ensure, whom the parties have used this fictitious tomb. He hoped, no government officials were named in the list of fictional tomb.

"All tombs are inventoried, do not let our sub-district and village heads listed on the tombstone, while the person is still haunting," he asserted.

On the other hand, Head of West Jakarta Park and Cemetery Sub-dept, Uus Kuswanto explains the existence of fictitious tomb has been existed since last year.

"It is mostly found in Tegal Alur TPU," he explained.

Effendi added, the case has involved many, including TPU management. It can be seen when it finds the tomb contained the name of the heirs.

"After being investigated, the name is not listed in the heir. We will fight for this," he closed.
