Ten Witnesses Questioned to Uncover Renggo's Death

The investigator of East Jakarta Metro Resort Police keeps investigating the death case experienced by Renggo Khadafi (10), a 5th grader of SDN 09 Makasar Pagi, by questioning 10 witnesses.

Previously we had questioned three witnesses, and now we focus on seven witnesses

"Previously we had questioned three witnesses, and now we focus on seven witnesses," said Chief of City Police Public Relation, Sr. Comr. Rikwanto, on the sidelines of Child Violence Prevention Workshop at SMK 57 Jakarta, Wednesday (5/7).

According to Rikwanto, such questioning was aimed to get accurate data, whether they were involved in the case or not. "We do this while waiting for autopsy results," he expressed.

SDN Makasar 09 Pagi Principal Dismissed

He stressed the results of autopsy and witnesses questioning will be compared, whichever wounds that have severe impact on cause of the victim's death. "Certainly I don't want any mistake when solving the cause of Renggo's death," he stressed.

He asserted the status of suspect initials SY is still as a witness. Based on the Child Protection Law, SY cannot be penalized in accordance with the general criminal law. "The Child Protection Law states, the suspect will be penalized, but its legal process is different and will be returned to the state due to cannot be detained," he stated.
