SDN Makasar 09 Pagi Principal Dismissed

The death of Renggo Kadapi (11), a 5th grader of State Elementary School (SDN) Makasar 09 Pagi who was bullied by his senior initialed SY (13), leads to the dismissal of SDN Makasar 09 Pagi Principal, Sri Hartini. The principal had fainted because of shocked after hearing Jakarta Governor Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo ordered East Jakarta Primary Education Sub-Department Head, Nasrudin, to dismiss her. This was conveyed when he visited Kadapi’s home at Makasar Urban Village, East Jakarta.

The principal must be responsible. I have ordered for her to be dismissed. She must be responsible because she was the person in charge in that school

Afterwards, Jokowi went to SDN Makasar 09 Pagi. Hartini, who was just regained consciousness but could not walk, had to be carried by two teachers to meet Jokowi. Not many words came out of her lips, except thank you.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you Mr. Governor,” said Hartini softly when she met Jokowi.

After meeting with Jokowi, Hartini was carried back to her office. While Jokowi, he went around all corners of the school the check the situation. As for Hartini, thus far she cannot be contacted because a dossier (BAP) of her is being made.

“We’re currently making the BAP of SDN Makasar 09 Pagi principal as well as 5th and 6th grade teachers. Despite Hartini is dismissed, her status is still a teacher and civil servant (PNS),” uttered Head of East Jakarta Primary Education Sub-Department, Nasrudin.

According to him, this case becomes a lesson for all parties. To prevent it from happening again, school officials must increase supervision on students even during recess time.
