The Primata Tarsius Tumpara is set as a mascot in The Association For International Sport for All (TAFISA) that will held in Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, North Jakarta, which falls on October 6-12, 2016.

Jakarta Tourism Agency Deputy Head, Sylviana Murni disclosed, Tarsius Tumpara was chosen as the maskot for 2016 TAFISA, because it is a kind of rare primates native to Indonesia that need to be known to the public.

"This animal is really rare. Even, in its habitat on Siau Island, North Sulawesi, there are only 1,300. That needs to be cultivated," he said, at Ragunan Zoo (TMR), Friday (7/29).

She continued the event is able to educate people about the importance of the preservation of endangered animals in order to survive in their habitat.

"By so, we hope people can be more patient, more loving tarsius," he stated.

As for the information, TAFISA is the international community recreational sports. It will be followed thousands of participants from home and abroad. According to him, there are about 58 traditional sports which will be participated.
