Ignore Safety, Building Management in Jakarta will Be Punished

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama acknowledged will punish buildings which do not pay attention to the safety factor. The policy is study of fire in Parama Apartment.

SLF has been secured. If the developer doesn't do repair, they will be sanctioned

He disclosed Parama Apartment was warned to immediately repair the building. Due to long response, Jakarta Provincial Government had to secure its improper functioning certificate (SLF).

"SLF has been secured. If the developer doesn't do repair, they will be sanctioned," he stated, at City Hall, Monday (8/15).

SLF for Parama Apartment Has not Been Issued

Jakarta government is going to give time to repair the building. If not, they will be punished.

"We've warned and given time. But if the certificate is not issued and still operate, we will surely punish them strictly," he stressed.

Basuki ensures monitoring against unworthy buildings in Jakarta been easier. Because decision to set the worthy and unworthy building is always recorded. It can reduce bribe potential between building management with official.

"Everything is easier now. If there is no bribe, it's good but they won't pass. Right now, if the SLF is not issued, we can do meeting openly," he closed.
