KJP Encouraged to Touch Private Schools

Associated with the increase in the budget of Jakarta Smart Card (KJP), member of City Council Commission E, Nasrullah said that there are many private school students do not get KJP, even though the government has added a budget.

Supposedly, the city government doesn't only focus on state schools, but also private because lots of students are from lower-income family

Whereas, private students often faltered monthly dues, thus they difficult to get diploma from the school.

"Supposedly, the city government doesn't only focus on state schools, but also private because lots of students are from lower-income family," he stated, Thursday (8/25).

He asks the executive party to find solution and siding also to private schools. Currently, private student more geared to get funding from the scholarship foundation.

Moreover, this year, KJP receiver who previously got KJP from school can still get it, as long as they go on to higher education.

"So far, there have been 26 public and private universities in Jakarta have made MoU with us regarding KJP. Rp 13.5 billion also prepared for college student and Rp 1.4 billion for students of elementary until high school," he told.

The KJP fund has been increased from 531,000 to Rp 648,000 KJP receivers, ranging from elementary until college school. From Rp 1.06 trillion, has been increased Rp 1.366 trillion.
