Market Parking Attendants to Receive UMP-Based Salary

Jakarta Head Dept. of Transportation, Andri Yansyah, visited nine traditional markets, Monday (9/5). The effort was aimed to know the condition and request of parking attendants at traditional markets.

Andri said that there is rumor that parking attendants complaining about the take over of parking management by Parking BLUD.

“I told them nobody will be dismissed if the management is taken by our agency,” he said.

He asked the attendants to work normally. If the management is taken by Parking BLUD, the attendant can not collect money. The money will be collected at the exit parking booth.

The attendant salary will be paid via Bank DKI. They will get Lebaran allowance, BPJS Kesehatan (health and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (manpower). Their salary will be based on province minimum wage (UMP).

Alam (32), one of parking attendants at Rawamangun Market, admitted happy with the plan.

“I’m happy since we’ll get several facilities like BPJS and Lebaran allowance,” he admitted.
