City Council asks Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Dept along with General Election Commission (KPU) to cooperate in verification of voters' data.

From the data, 7.3 million from population and 8.2 million from KPU. Its difference is quite striking, must disentangle what's the problem

This is because, there is difference in voter significant number of data among two institutions.

City Council Commission Secretary, Syarif disclosed, difference data that possessed by both institutions was significant enough. Because it must be verified together to get valid data. 

"From the data, 7.3 million from population and 8.2 million from KPU. Its difference is quite striking, must disentangle what's the problem," he stated, Tuesday (9/6).

He added, there must be a match between the data possessed by KPU with the data in population dep. His party also requested population dept to verify the data if it is requested by the KPU.

"The dept must also clean doubled ID card with 85,000 cards and immediately finish 164 thousand of e-ID card," he asserted.

Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Dept Head, Edison Sianturi uttered, such data is relatively valid, considering always real time with recording and printing that conducted. He is ready to support data verification, as long as it is asked by KPU.

"We are ready to support for indeed requested. All the service offices until the urban village is ready to help," he said.
