No Internet Service, Dukcapil Services Disturbed

Residents who want to process population matters to East Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-Department are asked to be patient since the Internet is not yet available in the new office that is just occupied. For the mean time, e-ID card recording as well as other population documents processing is conducted on the 14th floor of East Jakarta Mayor office complex, Jalan DR Soemarno, East Jakarta.

Head of Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Department, Purba Hutapea, said the internet connection in the new office is predicted to start functioning in early June. The current installation of internet network is still in the bidding process in the City Communication, Informatics, and Public Relations Department.

“ Residents are asked to be patient. Hopefully the internet network in the new office can be installed soon. It is still in transition phase now ,” he stated, Wednesday (5/14).

According to Head of East Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-Department, Abdul Haris, the office moving is done to improve the quality of services given to the residents. All this time, there were many complaints from the residents who had to go up to the 14th floor to process their documents.

“Many of them were scared and did not understand. Moreover, the room is very cramped, especially if there was a meeting,” he told.

Meanwhile, Head of East Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-Department Population Registration Section, Tabrani, informed that at least 60 people are processing their e-ID cards every day. At this time, his party is focusing on recording demographic data of 17-year-old high school students in East Jakarta.
