The PT Transportasi Jakarta is going to provide Transjakarta bus standardization in order to advance the passenger service. Unworthy buses condition has made passengers protest and discomfort.
There is no problem with the bus price, as long it lasts longer. That's our standard
PT Transportasi Jakarta Director, Antonius NS Kosasih, stated current Transjakarta buses were made on Tiongkok. The standardization refers to determine the specification of the vehicle, instead of the vehicle brand.
"There is no problem with the bus price, as long it lasts longer. That's our standard," Kosasih said, Monday (5/12).
Articulated Bus Serves Main Transjakarta Bus LanesHe assessed that such standardization would also be applied to all operators. Yet, the important thing is about spare part availability in Indonesia.
"If the bus procurement was completed, we would ready to operate it. This is because PT Transportasi Jakarta is a management company for a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), not merely the bus operators," he expressed.
In the future, according to him, the bus procurement will be through the Government Procurement Regulatory Agency (LKPP) because of Jakarta Provincial Government has used the e-catalog system for procurement of some goods.
Moreover, the stock of PT Transjakarta by 99.35 percent is owned by Jakarta government, while 0.63 percent owned by PT Jakarta Propetindo (Jakpro). Then PT Jakpro which is one of the regional-owned enterprises (BUMD) whose stock is 100 percent owned by Jakarta government.
"All process will be done soon. We have to make sure the process runs according to procedure," he uttered.
