Billboards in Three Crossing Bridges will Be Controlled

Jakarta Transportation Dept will control unlicensed billboards in three different crossing bridges in the near future. This is because they are installed at the railing and obscuring the bridge view.

The billboards that will be removed are located in three bridges, namely at Sumur Bor Daan Mogot, Pondok Indah and SDN 03 Warung Jati

"The billboards that will be controlled are located in three bridges, namely at Sumur Bor Daan Mogot, Pondok Indah and SDN 03 Warung Jati," expressed Andri Yansyah, Head of Jakarta Transportation Dept, Monday (10/3).

According to him, from 285 bridges in Jakarta, 95 out of them have billboard. His side will coordinate with related unit regarding illegal billboard handling.

68 Billboards on Crossing Bridge Are Illegal

"Unlicensed billboard will be controlled," he stated.

In future, his side would conduct a feasibility study on the crossing bridge, including insurance programs for disaster/accident traffic infrastructure support facilities.

"Each installation of billboards must be equipped with a structural strength calculation, including the addition of live loads such as wind pressure, earthquake and others," he said.
