Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama appreciated the painting and sketch exhibition themed “Jati Diri: Periskop Sejarah Seni Rupa Indonesia” at Seni Rupa dan Keramik Museum, Kota Tua, Taman Sari, West Jakarta, Wednesday (10/12).

The event is held to celebrate the National Museum Day. As many as 21 paintings and 11 sketch are exhibited.

“Thank you for providing this such exhibition. I hope this event can be held in around Indonesia,” he said, Wednesday (10/12).

Maya Sujatmiko, Exhibition Curator, stated the event was launched on October 12 and officially opened for public on October 13, 2016. The event will be held up to January 30, 2017.

“The independence arts are not only documentation of the past, but also the struggling media for the artists,” he stated.
