Two Freelancers Fired Over Illegal Levies Practice

Two freelancers under North Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-dept were fired. This is because they involved in illegal levies practice that has been conducted for last three months.

Responding on this matter, Vice Head of Jakarta Cleanliness Dept, Ali Maulana Hakim disclosed, both freelancers who serve as observers have requested money amounting to Rp 100 thousand frpm other freelancers since June until August. They admitted, it was for common interest.
"Since July, we get a report about illegal levies, that's why we investigate it whether it is true or not. As a matter of fact, two freelancers collect money by Rp 100 thousand per month from their friends," he expressed, Friday (10/14).
No Illegal Levies from PHL Under Cleanliness DeptThe case has involved more than 100 freelancers. They work in Tanjung Priok Sub-district, Kelapa Gading Sub-district, Pademangan Sub-district and Penjaringan Sub-district.
"Initially, the victim does not dare to report, so we investigate it and finally revealed," he explained.
The suspect often threatened the victim, if not given money, the victim will be mutated to another section. Both are officially fired since September 1, 2016.
"We will also be reported to the authorities, the data is currently being collected, so from the beginning all the cell phone numbers of Dept Head and I spread to our men, thus any case can be known instantly," he uttered.
