City to Build 9 New Rows of KIR Test in Jakarta

Jakarta Transportation Dept is about to add more kir test rows at some motor vehicle test places (PKB) that spread in Jakarta. Thus far, there have been seven rows that prepared in four PKBs. They plan to build other nine rows thus there would be 16 rows this year.

Next year, we'll make five rows. Thus, we would have 21 rows in 2018

Head of Jakarta Transportation Dept, Andri Yansyah disclosed, additional kir test row will be realized this year. Each of them is built at the Kedaung Angke PKB (6 rows), Pulogadung PKB (1 row) and Ujung Menteng (2 rows).

As for the existing row is only seven rows. Each of them are located at Pulodagung PKB (2 rows), Ujung Meteng (3 rows) and Cilincing (2 rows).

"Next year, we'll make five rows. Thus, we would have 21 rows in 2018," he disclosed, after inauguration of booking online and drive thru service at Pulodagung PKB, Thursday (10/27).

According to Yansyah, it is in accordance with KPK's mandate. It aims to provide public service that is maximal, fast, cheap and can be accounted for.

He believes all would be realized in 2018. Considering, the administration process for asset handover in some locations has been completed.

"For instance, if Rawa Buaya Terminal is built an Integrated Terminal, so Kalideres Terminal can be moved to Rawa Buaya. Then Kalideres Terminal can be used for kir test place," he finished.
