35 Thousands Runners Participate in Jakarta International 10K

Jakarta international 10K running race is ready to be held again on the upcoming Sunday, June 8, to celebrate Jakarta anniversary.

The target is 35 thousand participants. There are runners from Kenya and national runners

Head of City Sport and Tourism, Ratiyono, targeted this international running race to be participated by 35 thousands participants, some of them are international runners from Africa and national elite runners.

“The target is 35 thousand participants. There are runners from Kenya and national runners,” stated Ratiyono, Friday (5/23).

Jakarta 10K Route Has Many Potholes

The Jakarta international 10K running race route will pass Jalan MH Thamrin - Jalan Jenderal Sudirman – turn around in front of Atmajaya College and go back to Jalan MH Thamrin and finish in Monas Southwest Cross.

The participants to be divided into three categories, international elite, public, and students with a total prize Rp 950 million.

Jakarta Vice Governor, Basuki T Purnama, welcomes this annual event which is taking Green Energy for New Jakarta. He hoped through this race, Jakarta residents are more enthusiasts to sport. “I will necklace whoever wins. I don’t like running,” stated Basuki.
