Many Pulo Gebang Flat Occupants Refused Recording ID Card Data

East Jakarta Civil Register Sub-Department conducted ‘ball pick up’ service in Pulo Gebang Flat, Jalan Mutiara Raya, Pulo Gebang Urban Village, Cakung Sub-District, Saturday (5/24). The service was addressed to flat occupants who do not have time in working hours to make ID card (KTP). Unfortunately, many refused to do so because of various reasons.

According to Mr. Vice Governor’s instruction, all flat occupants have to change their domicile based on their current address. If they refused, it means they have properties in other areas. If they insisted, they have to move

Jamila (30), a resident who is also secretary of RT 07/11 Pulo Gebang Flat, admitted there are many flat occupants who refused conducting ID card recording. This is because of many residents said the bureaucracy still complicated, especially for residents who own motor vehicles.

Flood in Kampung Pulo Can Only Be Solved if Residents Moved to Flats

“Many residents here working as motorcycle taxi (ojek) drivers, thus their vehicle ownership documents (BPKB) still use their old addresses. If wanted to change address, it needs a lot of money,” she explained.

Responding this matter, Head of East Jakarta Population and Civil Register Sub-Department, Abdul Haris, stated that his department will hold socialization for residents to immediately conduct ID card recording.

According to Mr. Vice Governor’s instruction, all flat occupants have to change their domicile based on their current address. If they refused, it means they have properties in other areas. If they insisted, they have to move,” he asserted.

About the cost to change BPKB’s domicile, Haris told he will do coordination with local Police Integrated Administration Service (samsat).

“That’s a good advice. We will coordinate it later,” he said.

In this ID card recording, there were 144 flat occupants recorded their data. They are divided into four RT, namely RT 006, 007, 008, and 009. All of them are RW 11 Pulo Gebang residents.
