City to Charge Bakrieland Social and Public Facilities after Presidential Election

Afraid of being assessed of conduct politicization to Golkar’s General Chairman, Aburizal Bakrie, Jakarta Provincial Government will postpone charge obligation of Social Facility (fasos) and Public Facility (fasum) from PT Bakrieland Development Tbk until 2014 Presidential Election (Pilpres) finished.

“Have to wait after presidential election, perhaps they thought that we are meant to offend.” Jakarta Provincial Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama said on Pulogadung Industrial area, East Jakarta, Sunday (5/25).

Basuki explained, Bakrieland developer is in arrears of fasos and fasum obligation of the first and the largest superblock construction in Rasuna Epicentrum, Kuningan, South Jakarta, with 53.5 hectares development area. “We have deliver bills to Bakrieland,” the former member Commission II of Representative House added.

Basuki Denies of Politicizing Monorail Project

According to Basuki, basic law to take over fasos fasum obligation regulates by Home Affairs Ministry Decision Number 1 of 1981 and Governor Letter of Appointment Number 540 of 1990 about guidance of Principal Location/Area Acquisition Agreement Letter above Land for physical city construction in Jakarta Capital City.

“Jakarta Governor Letter of Appointment obliges developer to give about 20 percent from land total occupy above 5,000 square meter have to be used to build flats,” he explained.

The former regent of Belitung Timur asserted, high class developer like Bakrieland can get away of fasos fasum obligation because of policy mistake from Jakarta official before.

Besides of it, he also promised to pursue another developer that in arrears of fasos and fasum. North Jakarta for example, there are 44 developers which in arrears of fasos and fasum. Meanwhile, based on Jakarta Spatial Planning Department data, there are 2,000 land use licenses (SIPPT) which issued on 2013, only 14 percent of developers that complete its fasos and fasum.
