Acting Governor, Basuki will Hold Blusukan

A number of blusukan (impromptu visits) agenda has been prepared by Jakarta Vice Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, after he officially becomes Acting Jakarta Governor (Plt) on the upcoming June 1. Some of the agendas are reviewing flats and janitor placement in five regions in the capital city.

Many flats owned by people with Jakarta ID card, but it is rent again to other people. If we find it in the raid, the lessee will be given warning letter.

“This June, our blusukan will review the janitors and housings. Just knocking (occupied flat door), and check their ID card,” explained Basuki at City Hall Wednesday (5/21).

Since the government has given a convenience for the occupants to immediately change their ID cards to match with the current occupied flat, there will be no excuse of complicated bureaucracy in the upcoming blusukan.

Basuki to Change Trash Transportation System

“Many flats owned by people with Jakarta ID card, but it is rent again to other people. If we find it in the raid, the lessee will be given warning letter. If he sues, I will imprison on charges of leasing (government) assets and corruption,” Basuki stated.

For janitor placement, Jakarta government will change garbage transporting from per-ton-system to be region system so that cleanliness operator will responsible on the cleanliness in his work area.
