The Seribu Islands Regency administration has begun to form the management of the Red and White Cooperative through village/urban village meetings. The first meeting was held in Panggang Island Urban Village at Seribu Islands Sub-di strict Office's Pola Room.

Hopefully, the locals can enjoy the benefits of this cooperative

Seribu Islands Deputy Regent, Aceng Zaini said this activity was done to follow up on Presidential Instruction Number 9/2025 on Acceleration of Establishment of Red and White Village/Urban Village Cooperatives, as a national priority program.

"This is done simultaneously in six urban villages. We've discussed it with the PPKUKM Sub-agency to start this cooperative as soon as possible," he expressed, Friday (5/30).

He explained it would require the process of submitting a legal entity approval to operate legally and provide protection guarantees for its members.

"I hope this can go well. Once the legal decree is issued, the cooperative's operations can begin immediately," he explained.

Panggang Island Urban Village Head, Muhammad Fakih Burhanudin added his party had held a meeting to set the Chair of the Red and White Cooperative in Panggang Island Urban Village. Then, he discussed the related capital and loan system of the cooperative.

"Five neighborhoods will be involved altogether. Hopefully, the locals can enjoy the benefits of this cooperative," he hoped.

Panggang Island Urban Village Red and White Cooperative Chair, Tajeni admitted he was ready to develop a cooperative in his area. This cooperative would prioritize fishermen who often need capital for fishing gear and boat maintenance.

"I'll discuss it again with each neighborhood association for the establishment of initial capital and the determination of members. Hope this cooperative can run well and its benefits can be felt by the locals," he stated.
