City Donates 20 Thousand Armatures and Lamps to Bekasi

Jakarta Provincial Government donates 20 thousand feasible lamps and armatures to Bekasi Government. Armature is the replacement of street lighting lamps (PJU) with light emitting diode (LED).
This is also in order to support Bekasi government to add street lighting points
Acting Jakarta Governor, Sumarsono said that city had to replace about 89,417 lamps of high pressure sodium lamp (HPS) to light emitting diode (LED). Bekasi was the first region that welcomed the lights offer.
"Actually, we offered to all cities. The fastest response is from Bekasi City," said Sumarsono at City Hall, Wednesday (25/1).

"This is also in order to support Bekasi government to add street lighting points. So its lighting can be more evenly distributed on every corner of roads," he added.
BAST signatories is done by Bekasi Mayor, Rahmat Efendi, and City Industry and Energy Department Head, Yuli Hartono.
Refer to submitted request, Bekasi Government received a donation of 20 thousand pieces of armature. For about 7,000 pieces of 70 watt HPS armature, 5,000 pieces of 150 watt HPS armature, 5,000 pieces of 250 watt HPS armature, and 3,000 pieces of 400 watt HPS armature.
Head of Industry and Energy (DPE), Yuli Hartono stated that in 2016, his side done the procurement of LED Smart System armature for about 89,417 pieces to replace conventional/HPS armature.
Replacement is done in three areas. There are Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, and some of North Jakarta area.
"The procurement purpose is to save power or electrical energy usage while allowing street lighting management remotely," stated Yuli.
Yuli added that the grants submission is already referred to mechanism. The donated armature was a procurement of 2001 and 2002.
While Bekasi Mayor, Rahmat Effendi, said that the lights will be installed in 12 sub-districts, particularly in residences and main roads. He thanked for the grants.
If budgeted through Bekasi City budget, procurement of 20 thousand lights and armatures can take up to five years later. Beside lamps, his side also received 50 poles that can still be used.
