Ciliwung Normalization in Bukit Duri Accelerated

The Ciliwung River normalization in Bukit Duri Urban Village, Tebet, South Jakarta continues to be accelerated. Currently, the contractor is still focused on construction of parapet wall and sheet pile. 

Ans now we're focusing on construction of parapet wall and sheet pile that has touched 70 percent

Fikri Abdurahman, Head of Working Unit for Ciliwung-Cisadane Flood Control Office (BBWSCC) disclosed the parapet wall and sheet pile construction has touched 70 percent of total length about two kilometers.

"Ciliwung normalization in Bukit Duri will be accelerated, because it had experienced delays before. And now we're focusing on construction of parapet wall and sheet pile that has touched 70 percent," he expressed, Tuesday (2/7).

14 Land Lots in Ciliwung River Embankment Freed

It is targeted will complete in May 2017. The project includes construction of parapet wall, sheet pile, inspection road and drain. Even along the border of homes and inspection roads, will be creating a parapet wall to anticipate landslide.

While for the drain, already started to be constructed extending parallel to the road. It is made of u-ditch concrete measuring about 60x80 centimeters. But its construction is still uneven, as it is still focused in the lower area. 

The normalization itself is executed every day from 7 AM-6 PM.
