Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Dept. revealed the letter of recommendation (suket) can only be used in accordance with domicile. The aim is to prevent abuse action in the 2017 Pilkada.

Edison Sianturi, Head of Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Dept. expressed suket function is the same with e-ID card.

"The suket owner can use their voting right last hour before polling stations (TPS) is closed," he stated, Wednesday (2/8).

He added residents are asked to check their name whether it has been included in the voters list (DPT) or not.

"We match it with existing DPT, those who are not enrolled in DPT will be given suket," he told.

As known, Population and Civil Registration Dept. until January 29, 2017 has issued 57,763 suket, with details Seribu Islands (36 suket), Central Jakarta (3,803 suket), North Jakarta (10,095 suket), West Jakarta (14,444 suket), South Jakarta (11,132 suket) and East Jakarta (18,253 suket).
