MRT Underground Lanes Drilling Completed

Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) underground lane drilling is completed. This MRT underground lane drilling indicates that the construction has reached 80 percent.

The drilling completion was witnessed by President Joko Widodo together with City Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama.
The Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) of Antareja 1, Antareja 2, Mustikabumi 1, and Mustikabumi 2 already reached meeting point at Setiabudi Station, South Jakarta.

He added, Setiabudi Station located precisely after Dukuh Atas shelter. The area will be integrated each other with various transportation, from MRT, Transjakarta bus, Light Rail Transit (LRT) to electric train (KRL).
"All MRT stations will be built as disabilities user friendly and equipped with escalator and elevator," he added.
He explained that for overpass construction has reached 65 percent. On the first phase, lane will be built along 16 kilometers, from Lebak Bulus to Bunderan HI.
"After MRT has started to operate, Lebak Bulus-Bunderan HI can be reached within 30 minutes. While, distance between station is just 5 minutes," he closed.
For information, first phase of MRT mega project is targeted finish and can be operated in March 2019. Next, on the second phase, construction of Bunderan HI-Ancol Timur lane along 13.5 kilometers will start in 2019 and targeted will
operate in 2021.
