Draft bylaw (Raperda) about education system that established by City Council is ready to be discussed.
Regional responsibility is to maintain all, at least student's school fee is covered by Jakarta Provincial Government
City Council's Draft Bylaw Forming Board (Bapemperda) First Working Team Leader (Timja I), Achmad Nawawi, said the draft bylaw's academic scenario and legal drafting is already finished. The proposed draft bylaw is started from Commission E recess result who is in charge of community welfare (kesra).
In that raperda, council proposed Jakarta Provincial Government to give similar action to state, private, or even madrasah schools in City.
City Council Scheduling to Discuss Five Raperda"Education level in state, private, and madrasah school is our children's choice. Regional responsibility is to maintain all, at least student's school fee is covered by Jakarta Provincial Government," he said.
"The aid distribution for private and madrasah schools in City is adjusted to regional financial capacity. Thus, it is not mandatory," he added.
He continued that in Raperda, education system is also organized around civil servant (PNS) teacher's rotation in state school every five years. Also, awards for honorary teachers that already served for dozens of years.
"City Provincial Government must build boarding school in the City that is
intended for poor children," he closed.
