Palang Pintu Festival, Jalan Kemang Raya Closed

Jakarta Provincial Government plans to hold Palang Pintu Festival on Saturday (6/7) an Sunday (6/8) on Jalan Kemang Raya. The festival is one of programs to enliven city's 487 anniversary.
The road closing is applied to support the IX Palang Pintu Festival and 2014 Cultural Festival
Head Jakarta Transportation Department, Muhammad Akbar, said his personnel together with city police has prepared traffic control set up as the impact of road closing. "The road closing is applied to support the IX Palang Pintu Festival and 2014 Cultural Festival," said Akbar, Thursday (6/5).
Road closing is applied along Jalan Kemang Raya from Jalan Kemang Selatan VII until intersection of Jalan Kemang Selatan XII, from Friday (6/6) at 10 PM to Monday (6/9) at 3 AM.
Central Jakarta Fair Ready to Enliven City’s AnniversaryThe traffic flow from the south such as Jalan Ampera and Jalan Benda going towards Jalan Kemang Utara will be diverted to Jalan Kemang Timur, Jalan Kemang Utara and so on. Riders also can go through other alternative roads like Jalan Pangeran Antasari and so on.
Then the traffic flow from the north or Jalan Kemang which going to the south or Jalan Benda can go throughJalan Kemang Utara, Jalan Kemang Timur, and so on. Riders can also go through Jalan Kemang Selatan VIII – Jalan Abdul Majid –Jalan Pangeran Antasari - Jl Puri Mutiara and so on.
Furthermore, Jakarta Transportation Department is also preparing traffic flow diversion for public transportation. All public transport route that intersect with the closed road to go through Jalan Pangeran Antasari - Jalan Puri Mutiara - Jalan Benda Raya -Jalan Kemang Selatan - Jalan Ampera Raya and vice versa. Another roads that could be passed namely Jalan Kemang Raya - Jalan Kemang Utara – Jalan Kemang Timur - Jalan Ampera Raya and vice versa.
People are suggested in order to follow the predetermined traffic. Riders are also advised to obey the traffic signs and officers’ instructions in the field. "We also prepare signs as markers for the riders who will pass," Akbar completed.
