The imposition of one-way system along Pangeran Antasari Non-Toll Road Flyover (JLNT) from Cilandak-Blok M is considered effectively parsing traffic congestion. No wonder, traffic flow from Jalan TB Simatupang looks smooth.
As quoted by beritajakarta.com, policemen of South Jakarta Metro Resort Police Traffic Unit already opened the roadblock since 6 AM. Vehicle from Jalan TB Simatupang, allowed to enter the Pangeran Antarasi JLNT before Selatan Cipete junction through a lane that is usually to get down from Blok M.
June 3, One-Way System in Pluit Karang Imposed"Traffic looks smooth. Usually I have to take 20 minutes to get to Jalan TB Simatupang towards JLNT gate. But now it is only 5 minutes," expressed Haryadi (37), a driver of Honda CRV car B 6287 JIL, Friday (6/6).
According to Haryadi, congestion is triggered by road constriction along Jalan TB Simatupang towards Cipete Selatan junction. It is caused by JLNT's descending road from Blok M. "The road was wide before, but now it narrowed when cars and trucks or buses pass here," he complained.
Chief of South Jakarta Metro Resort Police Traffic Unit, Timin S revealed one-way system imposed at 6-9 AM is indeed effectively to parse congestion. This is because vehicle heading to Blok M from TB Simatupang does not need to pass road in Cipete Selatan. "Traffic looks smooth because vehicle doesn't have to pass through a narrow road," he explained.
He added that his side will coordinate with other ranks on roads that are connected with Jalan Pangeran Antasari. "We are coordinating with Cilandak and others, whether the effect has an impact to there (Jalan TB Simatupang) or not. That is by extending time of one-way system imposition until 10 AM," he stated.
