Catch Up Tax Realization, BPRD Prepares 4 Priority Programs

Jakarta Taxes and Levies Board (BPRD) prepares four priority programs to catch up tax realization target in 2017 as many as Rp 35.230 trillion. This year's tax target has a potential to increase from last year which is Rp 33.1 trillion.

For region monograph preparation, we collaborating with Asian Development Bank (ADB)

Jakarta BPRD Head, Edi Sumantri said these four priority programs will be promoted to catch up this year's tax realization. That are tax revenue optimalization through fiscal cadaster (region monograph preparation), law enforcement for taxes arrears, encourage integration efforts toward business licensing in fiscal relevance form, and optimize information-based service.

"For region monograph preparation, we collaborate with Asian Development Bank (ADB). Until now, there are already four sub-districts which mapped. There are Tanah Abang, Kebayoran Lama, and Setia Budi," he said, Friday (3/31).

Council Supports BPRD to Collect on Tax Arrears

He explained all tax potentials can be identified through fiscal cadaster. That mapping will be done continuously until 44 sub-districts are finished in mid year of 2018.

He added, his side also will uphold law enforcement for arrears taxes. Such as conducting motor vehicle tax raids, preparing 60 bailiffs, and collaborating with Anti-Corruption Commission (KPK) to handle tax arrears.

The third priority is BPRD will encourage integration towards business licensing in fiscal relevance for all tax payers. Thus WP who have debt in paying taxes will not have business licensing.

"Fourth, we will increase information-based service optimally," he closed.
