The Beijing City Administration held educational tourism promotion for Jakarta's tourism industry in Jakarta, Friday (3/31). It is part of Jakarta and Beijing sister city cooperation.

Shinta Nindyawati, Division Head of Gubernatorial and Foreign Affairs (KDH-KLN) Bureau said, all this time, cooperation between Jakarta and Beijing sister city is very beneficial.

"We very welcome the benefits of cultural exchange, including civil servants who do training in Beijing. Hopefully this tourism exchange program can support each other," she expressed, Friday (3/31).

Song Yu, Chairman of Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development added, through the event, he intends to introduce the potential cultures of Beijing as an educational tour.

He described, various educational tours that can be visited are the Great Wall of China, The Forbidden City, the Imperial Museum, Beijing City Planning Hall, Temple of Heaven and so on.

Aside that, the city also has a variety of technological facilities that can be visited as a tourist destination.

"I hope we (Beijing and Jakarta) can increase interaction and encourage tourism sector. With educational tour, the youth in each city to know more about each other," he hoped.
