Transjakarta Passengers Number Increase by 41.3 Percent in January-March 2017

During January-March 2017, Transjakarta bus passengers number increased by 41.3 percent compared to the same period last year.

Transjakarta has been serving 450 thousands passengers in average for every work day

In the first quarter of 2016, there were 25.99 million passengers in total, while in 2017's first quarter there wete 26.68 million passengers.

"At this time, Transjakarta has been serving 450 thousands passengers in average for every work day," said Budi Kaliwono, President Director of PT. Transjakarta, Sunday (4/9).

Acting Gov. Hopes Citizen Needs of Transportation Could Be Fulfilled

He added throughout 2016, Transjakarta served 123.73 million passengers. This number rose 20.78 millions compared to 2015 which just served 102.95 million passengers.

He continued that Transjakarta operates more than 1,100 buses every day. Figures for vehicle operation in January 2016 grew significantly compared to last year which only 605 buses.

"Transjakarta has more than 1,500 buses in this first quarter. This number will grow to 3,000 buses by the end of 2017," he closed.
