KUKMP Dept. Recommends to Freeze 15 Inactive Cooperatives

Jakarta Small Medium Enterprise Cooperative and Trade (KUKMP) continuously searching inactive cooperatives. As the result, from January to early April, there are 15 cooperatives which recommended to be frozen because of no longer active.
This action is done to ensure cooperatives are not misused
Jakarta KUKMP Dept. Head, Irwandi Yusuf said, from around 7,000 cooperatives in Jakarta, just around 5,000 that already held Annual Member Meeting (RAT). Therefore, in accordance to Ministry of Cooperative and UKM's circular letter, from December 2016 his side has been monitoring intensively.
"Our authority is to recommend freezing, while for its dissolution is on ministry. Since beginning of year until now, there are 15 that we recommend," he said, Wednesday (4/12).
Fostered PKL Retribution in S. Jakarta Targeted Rp 1.6 BillionHe explained, freezing recommendation is issued if for three years in a row cooperative did not held Annual Member Meeting. After freezing recommendation was issued, cooperative side can ask for clarification to Ministry of KUKM level.
If it can be proven the cooperative is active, then it will be recovered. But if is cannot be clarified, cooperative will be dissolved by ministry.
