Unique TPS Enlivens Gubernatorial Election in East Jakarta

To enliven second round of Jakarta Gubernatorial Election, numbers of committee decorated voting booth (TPS) uniquely. KPPS personnel have some make up and wore traditional clothes.

We wanted to create it unique while preserving Javanese culture

Such as in TPS 14 RT 04/03, Cipinang Besar Selatan (CBS), Jatinegara, East Jakarta, all personnel wore Java traditional clothes. Male personnel wore beskap clothes and blangkon on his head, while female personnel wore kebaya.

City Monitoring Voting Activities

"All kebaya, beskap, and blangkon are from our parents' properties. No need to rent. We wanted to create it unique while preserving Javanese culture. Of course, we have held meeting and negotiated it first," said Arya, Head of KPPS of CBS's TPS 14.

Meanwhile, TPS 22 RT 09/04 Cipinang Melayu, Makasar, applied Go Green theme. Besides decorative and productive plants, that TPS which located on Jl. Pangeran or beside Borobudur University, was also quipped with pets. Such as birds which were hanged inside TPS. Birds chirping enlivened the atmosphere inside the TPS.

Anthurium plants such as pisang bebek, sirih merah, sirih gading, bambu kuning, talas, and another crops were also placed at TPS yard.  

Cipinang Melayu KPPS 22 Head, Doni Triorama (39) said, all decorative plants and pets are owned by local people. They deliberately lend it to enlivens second round of Jakarta Gubernatorial Election.

"They deliberately lend it to make this TPS unique and shady because of many plants," he closed.
