Throwing Trash Carelessly, ID Card Seized

The acting Jakarta Governor Basuki T. Purnama promised to make administration process more difficult for residents who often carelessly throwing trash.

I record your ID card, then I'll remove it. If you are still disrespectful, your family certificate will be seized also

Basuki said his side will not hesitate to seize ID card or family certificate. "I record your ID card, then I'll remove it. If you are still disrespectful, your family certificate will be seized also. There will be no administration process for you," said Basuki at City Hall, Monday (6/9).

According to him, sanction for violators is not effective and far from deterrent effect. "Light offense (Tipiring) is too relying on the judge. You only wishing to pay for some tens of thousands then all is cleared. It's complicated," he added.

Basuki to Change Trash Transportation System

Basuki added, the remaining thrash which scattered on some places in the city are caused by its own citizens that often carelessly threw trash.

About sanction procedure for trash violators, urban village authorities will record resident’s Identity Card that carelessly throwing thrash then to be reported to Jakarta Provincial Government.
