Airport Construction in Panjang Island will Be Continued

Jakarta Provincial Government will open tender for continuing airport construction in Panjang Island, Seribu Island. According to plan, all invest cost of project construction will be charged to private side. 

So the concept is, we collaborated with private side. P rivate side is permitted to build resort in the outskirts of the island

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama said, recently many private sides interested to continue that airport construction. Later on, the auction winner will be compensated for being able to get permission to build resort in the island.

Regent Wants Tourism Information Center to Be Turned On Again

"So the concept is, we collaborate with private side. Private side is permitted to build resort in the outskirts of the island," he said in leadership meeting at City Hall, Tuesday (5/2).

He asked to inform this auction to public immediately. Hopefully, there will be many investors who interested with this offer thus the airport construction which previously had stopped can be resumed.

"Immediately inform beauty contest (tender). Everybody who wants to build resort, we will allow it, in exchange must finish this airport construction," he stated.

He is sure, this Panjang Island's airport will promote tourism in Seribu Islands because access to the island can be more varied later. Besides, that airport can be used as evacuation route.

"This could also become an evacuation route. We will get many profit because it also improve tourism in Seribu Islands," he closed.
