Jakarta Provincial Government along with online shopping platform Tokopedia has launched Laman Kota Jakarta (Jakarta city site's pages).

Training has been done since a long time ago and it is ready. This is just launching,

It contains specialized products of Small and Middle Enterprises (UMKM) in the capital.

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama disclosed, training for UMKM has been done since a long time. Yet the laman that integrated with Jakarta Smart City can be launched this time.

"Training has been done since a long time ago and it is ready. This is just launching," he stated, at City Hall, Saturday (5/6).

Basuki stated its existence could help them to distribute products online throughout Indonesia.

"We hope there would be enterprises trained to join," he expressed.

In the meantime, Jakarta Small and Medium Enterprises and Cooperatives (KUMKMP) Dept. Head, Irwandi uttered, there have been 150 out of 1,000 enterprises joined after passing through a long selection.

"We apply online selling. That's why the requirement is not easy. They must be ready in terms of product quantity, thus if anyone ordering the product, it must be ready to be shipped," he stressed.

At the same time, Tokopedia CEO, William Tanuwijaya added his side invites other enterprises to join in online business.

"By doing this, we're optimistic the transaction growth will be increasing and benefiting them," he stated.
