City Intensifying Food Taskforce Performance Towards Ramadan

City keeps intensifying staple food monitoring towards Ramadan in City through Food Taskforce (Satgas).

So, they already work throughout the year. Because their job is monitoring food stock

Taskforce that consists of Regional Working Unit (SKPD) and Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD) will be formed to make sure food stock in safe condition towards Ramadan.

Jakarta Economy Bureau Head, Sri Haryati said, Food Taskforce actually has been working throughout the year. But, towards Ramadan and Eid, taskforce performance is intensified.

Council Supports Effort to Maintain Food Price Stability

"So, they already work throughout the year. Because their job is monitoring food stock," she said at City Hall, Monday (5/15).

She explained this Food Taskforce consists of SKPD who handle food such as Economy Bureau, Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Dept., and Small Medium Enterprise Cooperation and Trade (KUKMP) Dept. of Jakarta.

According her, Food Taskforce job is to ensure food stock is enough to fulfill City needs. Thus it is expected not to cause turmoil in food prices.

"Our job is to make sure food supply is sufficient and prices remain under control," she closed.
