Prone to Fall, 1,995 Trees in W. Jakarta Pruned

West Jakarta Parks Sub-Department has pruned dozens of trees along Jalan Outer Ring Road from Cengkareng towards Puri Kembangan. It aims to anticipate fallen tree during rainy season accompanied by strong winds.

Head of Lane Section for West Jakarta Parks Sub-Department, Kadirun said those pruned trees are angsana which has a height of approximately over 10 meters and 50 diameter.

300 Trees Pruned in West Jakarta

Jalan Outer Ring Road, he expressed, is often passed by vehicles. "That's why we prune the trees that are prone to fall. Moreover, the current weather is bad," he expressed, Wednesday (6/11).

Another tree pruning is also carried out on Jalan Mogot, starting from Grogol until Kalideres and Jalan Panjang as well as Jalan Lapangan Sepak Bola. "The pruning is also prioritized on Transjakarta bus lanes in order to smoothen its operational," he told.

He added that since January-April, his side has pruned 1,995 trees, located on public, protocol roads, and citizen residential.
