City KPU Awaits for Presidential Campaign Schedule

The presidential candidate pairs, Prabowo Subianto - Hatta Rajasa and Joko Widodo - Jusuf Kalla, have not submit the campaign schedule to city General Election Commission (KPU). Today is the 7th day of campaign period.

The campaign team should submit the schedule 7 days before the day. It's based on the regulation. Usually, the team submitted three or one day before the day

Head of City KPU, Sumarno, said he is still waiting for each pairs' campaign team submitting the schedule.

"Each candidates' team decides the campaign place and time. We're still waiting for that," Sumarno said, Wednesday (6/11).

Hundreds of Campaign Attributes Lowered

Sumarno explained, both pairs have orally announced to use Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) stadium in Central Jakarta. But the time is not final.

"The campaign team should submit the schedule 7 days before the day. It's based on the regulation. Usually, the team submitted three or one day before the day," he added.

Later on, the campaign schedule will be submitted to Election Supervision Body (Bawaslu) and City Police for further process.

"There is no limitation for campaign as long as according to the regulation. campaign period is started from June 4 to July 5. 9 AM to 6 PM," he explained.
