South Jakarta Environment Sub-dept. has noted that garbage volume in South Jakarta until June 2017 has decreased by 16 percent than last year.
This is because people awareness about cleanliness began to improve and 115 garbage banks have been made in South Jakarta. It's already able to reduce garbage
South Jakarta Environment Sub-dept. Head, Syarifudin said, in this year's first semester, garbage volume per day in South Jakarta is reaching 1,300 tons. It is decreasing, compared to last year which reached 1,350 tons per day.
Koja Sub-district Has 9 Garbage Banks"This is because people awareness about cleanliness began to improve and 115 garbage banks have been made in South Jakarta. It's already able to reduce garbage," he stated, Wednesday (6/7).
Yet this year is targeted able to decrease up to 20 percent. It could be realized by appealing locals to use garbage through garbage bank.
"Our target is 20 percent. That is by appealing urban village to make garbage bank, and people to use their garbage through garbage bank," he disclosed.
