Ahead of Eid ul-Fitr, Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat along with Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman and Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukito, monitoring food stocks in Cipinang Market, East Jakarta, Saturday (6/16). It is aimed to ensure that rice whether its stock is safe or not.

Djarot said rice stock in the capital is still safe. Its stock in Cipinang Market reaches 39,760 tons. The amount is above the safe limit volume by 30,000 tons. The rice price is also reportedly stable.

"Rice stock at Cipinang Market is now about 39,760 tons. It is safe, as the safe limit is around 30,000," he stated.

Besides rice, there is also sugar about 432 tons and cooking oil 422,000 liters. All commodities are safe. So far, its supply is also normal as usual.

After sudden inspection (sidak), he also reviewed the Dharma Jaya Chicken Slaughtering House (RPH), Cakung and Kramat Jati Market. From both places, stock of chicken meat and vegetable is also safe. 

"Because of work hard and synergy between Jakarta Provincial Government with BUMD, all stocks are safe. It is also supported by the role of the central government," he continued.
