CAS Machine Is Effective to Maintain Commodity Quality

Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, assessed the controlled atmosphere storage (CAS) machine in Kramat Jati Market, East Jakarta is very useful for traders and farmers. Evidently, commodities stored in the machine are fresh and more durable.

His party would encourage other markets in the city to have similar machine. Its procurement is through cooperation with producer from the commodity supplier area.

"The machine can protect the farmers. So, during harvest season, prices does not drop because goods are stored in CAS machine, so they won't lose money and remain passionate cultivation," he said.

On the occasion, Djarot was accompanied by City Secretary, Saefullah, East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardana and PD Pasar Jaya President Director, Arief Nasrudin.
