Within two weeks of Sidewalk Awareness Month (BTT) implementation, 4,799 sidewalk violators were netted. Mostly was caused by illegal parking.

"Illegal parking on sidewalk is the most frequent case, both for two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles. In total, there were 1,844 netted," said Yani Wahyu Purwoko, Head of Jakarta Satpol PP, Tuesday (8/15).
Besides illegal parking, he continued, there were also 1,493 cases due to expired billboard permission and other utilities network that disrupt the sidewalk function.

Until now, two-wheeled vehicles passing on the sidewalk is the lowest violator number by 417 cases.
"Especially, sidewalk trespassing violator is lessened. Not only controlling them on the location, we also encourage riders to obey the rules," he closed.
