Merging Plan Between PAL Jaya-PAM Jaya Can Improve Water Cycle

The plan to merge the sewage company PD PAL Jaya with the city-owned water operator PD PAM Jaya is deemed to improve the water cycle management in the capital.

PD PAL Jaya President Director, Subekti disclosed it allows for the optimization of the management of domestic sewage to meet water needs.

"The merging plan is still being finalized. We make a re-submission after the revised draft bylaw which will be discussed in DPRD," he stated, Thursday (8/24). 

PD. PAL Jaya Keeps Educating The Importance of Sanitation

According to him, the importance of water cycle management also requires to be socialized and educated to the public.

"They must understand the importance of conserving water use and efforts to avoid polluting water," he explained.

He explained, to meet the needs of clean water in Jakarta, it is currently still relying on raw water supply from upstream. Whereas, in Jakarta, there are 13 rivers flowing in the capital.

"Together we will optimize river water to meet the quality standard threshold," he expressed.

He added merging plan would expand the reach of sewage and clean water processing services.

"I consider this merging will be very profitable and provide more convenience for the people," he closed.
