MERS-CoV Prevention Counseling Held During Manasik Haji

The ranks of Jakarta Health Dept. have conducted socialization and counseling about the danger of MERS-CoV virus to prospective hajj pilgrims from the capital city.

The health personnel have also been counseled in order to participate in delivering MERS-CoV early prevention to pilgrims

By so, the pilgrims are expected to maintain health during hajj activities in the holy land of Mecca, Arab Saudi. 

MERS Virus Education Given to Jakarta Hajj Pilgrims

Jakarta Health Dept. Head, Koesmadi Priharto disclosed that socialization and counseling are also conducted against Indonesian Health Hajj Team (TKIH) and Regional Hajj Health Team (TKHD).

"The health personnel have also been counseled in order to participate in delivering MERS-CoV early prevention to pilgrims," he expressed, Thursday (8/24).

He continued that counseling to prospective pilgrims is done simultaneously during manasik haji (haj rehearsal) at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA). MERS-CoV prevention socialization was also delivered via banners, posters, leaflets at puskesmas and embarkation.

"Besides that, we also do via media poster, banners, leaflets and others. Thus the pilgrims will be more vigilant and careful," he closed.
