The officers of West Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept. have examined 17,889 qurban animals. As a result, 17,472 out of them are positively healthy and eligible to be sacrificed.

West Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept. Head, Maysawitri Gumay said qurban animal examination was held on August 18-30, 2017 at 311 slaughterhouses that spread over eight sub-districts.

Of 17,889 animals examined, he revealed, they consist of 3,911 cows, 102 buffalos, 12,697 goats and 1,172 sheep.

"From the examination results, the rest 62 animals are illness, 6 animals are disabled and 349 animals are underage," she expressed, Thursday (8/31).

She added the examination team gives sticker to all animals who are healthy. While for the illness animals, are given a crossed-out red.

"Residents must buy qurban animals that have stickers from the examination team," he closed.
