On-street Parking at Jalan Blora & Kendal Proposed to Be Deleted

Menteng Urban Village Head, Agus Sulaeman has filed on-street parking at Jalan Blora and Kendal to be abolished and relocated to Blora Market's parking area. 

Every day there are around 60,000 people get off from the station

Besides parsing traffic jam, parking area at Blora Parking also accommodates the train passengers of Sudirman Station. According to him, the land as wide as 2,000 square meters can accommodate 100 cars and more than 100 motorcycles.

"Every day there are around 60,000 people get off from the station. There is also a sidewalk project around the station by Bina Marga Sub-dept. and MRT, so it's also supporting the development," he expressed, Monday (9/11).

Basuki to Take Over All On-street Parking to Increase Revenue

He added such a proposal is still being discussed by Transportation Dept., Jakarta Greater Transportation Management Agency (BPJT) for Transportation Ministry, PD Pasar Jaya, PT Kereta Api Indonesia and other related units.

Meanwhile, Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. Head, Harlem Simanjuntak admitted his sub-dept. would follow the decision of the service. "We follow it, we will definitely support the traffic arrangements later," he said.
