Kemenristek Dikti Supports Jakarta to Be Smart City

Ministry of Research Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristek Dikti) supports Jakarta Provincial Government efforts in making Jakarta as Smart City.
People who have complaints or suggestions need to have an access to reach for information and service
Kemenristek Dikti's Science and Technology Resources and Higher Education Directorate General, Ali Ghufron Mukti said, information access is really important for Jakartans because it can educate people.
"We are really supporting information to be accessed easier by Jakartans. Besides, knowledge also needs to be managed thus people can participated," he said after seminar and workshop themed "Role of Smart Citizenship in Smart Cities: Lessons Learned" at City Hall, Tuesday (9/12).

"People who have complaints or suggestions need to have an access to reach for information and service," he explained.
Meanwhile, Jakarta Communication Information and Statistics Dept. Head, Dian Ekowati added, there are three things which needed to be focused in order to reach smart city concept. There are the government who always listening, the connected system, and the participated communities.
"Smart City is not only smart in using technology, but how communities can participate and collaborate with government," she expressed.
For information, this seminar and workshop can be realized through cooperation between Jakarta Smart City and University of Technology Sydney.
This seminar and workshop which participated by 200 people is presenting many competent speakers in their own fields and presented Professor Anthony Burke from University of Technology Sydney as the moderator.
