W. Jakarta will Hold Kota Tua Night Tour

West Jakarta Government will hold night tour to Kota Tua, Pinangsia, Taman Sari. This event will be participated by all SKPD and UKPD heads in West Jakarta Government.

The purpose of night tour is to give brainstorm for SKPD and UKPD heads

West Jakarta's Assistant in Economy and Development, Fredy Setiawan said this is planned to be held to see the real condition around Kota Tua area at night.

"The purpose of night tour is to give brainstorm for SKPD and UKPD heads thus they have creative ideas to arrange Kota Tua as tourism site," he said, Monday (9/18).

Coordination Between SKPDs Asked to Be Enhanced Ahead of Rainy Season

He added, his side is committed to arrange Kota Tua to be tourism icon in Jakarta.

Kota Tua arrangements done from CSR fund are street vendors (PKL)s relocation to Jalan Cengkeh, culture bridge construction, and Kali Besar filtration.

"We hope after West Jakarta SKPD and UKPD heads conducting night tour, budget plan can be done for Kota Tua arrangement," he expressed.

Meanwhile, West Jakarta Tourism and Culture Sub-dept. Head, Linda Eriany explained, night tourism will be held on September 29 and led by Mayor Anas Effendi.

"We encourage SKPD and UKPD heads to have the same understanding related to big concept in arranging Kota Tua, in line with national tourism and world heritage strategic areas program," she added.

She is optimistic both domestic and foreign tourist number will be increased if Kota Tua tourist site has been arranged.

"The economy effect from improved Kota Tua will be perceived by local people," she closed.
