Today, June 22, 2014, beritajakarta.com, the official news website of the Jakarta Provincial Government turns 14 years old. On its anniversary, many hoped beritajakarta.com would be more professional, well-developed, and increasing in quality. 

The hope is conveyed by Acting Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama. Basuki hoped beritajakarta.com can contribute more in reporting and informing the success of the Jakarta government development. The reason is many positive things conducted by Jakarta government are not published in the media mass.

"Beritajakarta.com must become a balancer media. This is because usually positive news are not published in the media, thus I hope the news can be published via beritajakarta.com," said the man who is popularly called as Ahok, when he celebrated beritajakarta.com's 14th anniversary, at City Hall, Monday (6/23).

He also asked beritajakarta.com can compete with the other online media, even though he realized it could not be. Considering its market share is different. "At least, our vision and mission can be published in beritajakarta.com, even though it is impossible published in other national media. If there is fraudulent title in the other media, I hope beritajakarta.com can correct it well," he told.

The former Regent of East Belitung also says happy birthday to beritajakarta.com. Even, in between his busy, Basuki had took time to cut the cake with the crew of beritajakarta.com. "Happy birthday, and thanks to the whole crew for your dedication," he stated.

On the other hand, Head of Jakarta Communication, information, and Public Relation Department, Agus Bambang disclosed beritajakarta.com can be a balancer media for Jakarta government news. Because according to him, not all policies taken by the government is not good. "I'm sure not all civil servants here are bad, yet there are also good people," he stated.

He also ensures in this political year, beritajakarta.com does not favor a particular party, such as the non-active Jakarta Governor Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo who has declared himself as Presidential candidate. "We don't favor a particular party. We present the news as it is," he asserted.
