West Jakarta Administration will control Jelangkeng Riverside in Pekojan, West Jakarta which occupied with many street vendor stalls.

W. Jakarta SDA Sub-dept. Wants Buildings on Jelangkeng Riverside to Be Controlled

West Jakarta Economy and Development Assistant, Fredy Setiawan said, those stalls violated the rules since decree (SK) about street vendor (PKL) Loksem along Jelangkeng Riverside has not been made.

"Jelangkeng River PKL Loksem decree is still on discussion, but they built it arbitrarily," he expressed, Thursday (10/12).

West Jakarta Small Medium Enterprises Cooperation and Trade (KUKMP) Sub-dept. Head, Nuraini Sylviana added, her side has not sign for PKL Loksem establishment process on the location.

"Moreover it is located on the riverside and entered green spaces. It can not become a loksem," he affirmed.

Meanwhile, West Jakarta Forestry Sub-dept. Head, Aris Firmansyah mentioned, his side will arrange the park along Jelangkeng Riverside after controlling street vendor stalls.

" Yes, we will re-arrange it thus Jelangkeng Riverside and filled with beautiful plants ," he said.

For information, previously along 200 meters of Jelangkeng Riverside there was a park. But now, around 34 semi-permanent buildings owned by PKL occupied the location.
